Edward Cullen inspired style: Peacoat

By Azlene Owens March 12, 2010

Edward Cullen's peacoatMy style inspiration for my first fashion post is Edward Cullen from the Twilight movie. If you have watched the first part of the Twilight Saga, you’d notice that Edward had worn a grey peacoat (picture). I have always wanted to try on a peacoat but I wasn’t sure how it should look on me. So I went to Polyvore and created my very own set with peacoat.

Before I get to the technical aspects of the set I created, I want to share with you what I think about a style with peacoat. When I saw this coat, probably for the first time on Edward Cullen, I thought it was classy and elegant. I think it suits when you wear it to school if the learning environment is at a cold temperature. Plus, I think you would look breathtakingly gorgeous if you wear it on a romantic date over dinner at a restaurant, but probably with a smaller bag. A clutch bag would do good!

Style set with peacoat

You may print out my set and use it as reference when you go out shopping. I’m not going to give specific brands because I created this set as a template. Let me break it down for you with the descriptions:

  • Peacoat: Dark color, hip-length, wool
  • Top: Squared-neck, light color, hip-length, long-sleeved, baby doll
  • Bottom: light blue, skinny, jeans
  • Shoes: Dark color, suede, platform pump,
  • Bag: brown, leather, tote
  • Jewellery: choker necklace, ring – flowery, pearly, metal
  • Hair: long, soft curls, hair sticks – flowery, pearly, metal

There you go! If you wish to dig this style, use the picture and descriptions above when you shop.
